On the 20th of May, a team of 9 (plus Pablo the dog) from Halliday Clark Architects completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for the Nell Bank Charitable Trust.
The Three Peaks Challenge involved climbing Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Gent in the Yorkshire Dales. The course was a total of 24 miles long with a total ascent of 1585 metres and tested the team’s fitness and determination. The HC team completed the challenge in 11 hours and 50 minutes.
Nell Bank are delighted that Halliday Clark have chosen to support the centre. Now a fully independent charity, fundraising carried out by local organisations has never been so important.
The money raised will ensure the Nell Bank Charitable Trust are able to subsidise visits to the centre for disadvantaged children, helping them to learn to love the outdoors and all the benefits time spent out in the countryside can bring for both mental and physical health. The money raised will also help the centre to develop the facilities and the resources used by visiting children, to ensure they have the best possible experience when they visit.
‘A massive thank you to all that supported us, we definitely needed you on that last stretch to the car!’
