Feasibility Stage

This iconic building in the centre of Bradford has had a chequered history since its construction as a 3,300 seat picture palace/music hall in 1930.

Scheduled for demolition in 2009, Halliday Clark were appointed by Bradford One, a newly formed community society to provide a feasibility study to show how the building could be saved and transformed into a vibrant new use.

Halliday Clark’s original concept to create a “Bradford Institute of Performing Arts” caught the Client’s imagination and following a detailed business case, the building is now to be saved and potentially converted to a mixed use performance, retail and education space.
