Colne Valley Family Doctors Relocation

As part of the ongoing restoration of Globe Mills, Halliday Clark recently completed the fit out works for the relocation of Colne Valley Family Doctors to the centre of Slaithwaite.

Previously in small, outdated accommodation on the outskirts of the village the surgery is now able to provide safe, accessible & modern facilities to patients, with enhanced parking facilities and transport links.

Located on the ground floor of Globe 1 the project presented the challenge of fitting a modern GP surgery into a historic mill location. In light of the pandemic an even greater emphasis on infection control was necessary whilst still maintaining the historic industrial feel of the building. Where appropriate in non-clinical spaces effort was made to maintain original features such as exposed cast-iron columns and internal brickwork.
